A good hazard sign does not scare anyone. It tells a guest what is different about your home, what to do and who to ask. These signs are written in that helpful tone, in safety amber and ink with pine, with a hazard-tape stripe and a pictogram drawn from simple shapes. Where to put them

Put each sign right at the hazard, at eye level: the stairs sign at the top of the stairs, the head-bump sign on the door frame, the glass door sign beside the handle, the pond sign at the path to the water and the hot tub steps sign at the foot of the steps. Print on sturdy paper or card stock, and use a frame or a laminating pouch for wet areas. A removable adhesive strip is gentle on paint.
