Cleaning Fee & Turnover Cost Calculator is an Excel and Google Sheets workbook that works out what one turnover really costs you and what guest cleaning fee to charge. Enter the minutes each room takes, your cleaner's hourly rate, travel time, laundry loads and the supplies you use, and it gives you the cost per turnover, a suggested fee at your target margin, the gap against the fee you charge now and the margin you actually earn.

No Canva needed. This is a plain spreadsheet with no macros and no add-ons. Yellow cells are for typing and gray cells hold the formulas. It works in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers.

What is inside (7 sheets)

• Calculator - property type dropdown, hourly rate, rooms with minutes each (entry, kitchen, living area, bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor, hot tub), travel minutes, laundry loads, target margin and current fee. It shows labor, laundry, supplies and restock cost, the total cost per turnover, the suggested fee, the gap and four summary tiles.
• Rooms & Minutes - standard minutes per room and how many rooms for a studio, 1BR, 2BR, 3BR and 4BR+, all editable.
• Laundry - cost per load from detergent, water, energy and dryer sheets, or an outsourced price per pound, plus loads per property size.
• Supplies - cleaning supplies and consumables with pack cost, uses per pack and amount used per turnover.
• Fee vs Cost - the last 12 turnovers: fee charged, actual minutes, actual cost, gap and margin, with totals and averages.
• By Property Type - minutes, cost and suggested fee side by side for studio to 4BR+, your current fee, the gap and a column chart.
• Read Me - how to use each sheet, every formula in plain words and tips for Google Sheets.

Sample numbers are included for a 2BR, so every figure and chart shows a real result from the first click. Replace them with your own in about 15 minutes.

FAQ

Do I need Canva? No, this is an Excel file.

Does it set my price on a booking site? No. It calculates a number for you to use. Rules about cleaning fees, caps and taxes differ by platform and place.

What does margin mean here? Margin on cost: a 20% margin on a cost of 100 dollars suggests a fee of 120 dollars.

Can I use it for a cleaner I pay per job? Yes. Divide the job price by the minutes to get an hourly rate, or type the rate you pay.

Does it work in Google Sheets? Yes. Upload the file and open it with Google Sheets. The formulas avoid add-in functions.
